Aromatic Plant Purifying Mask

I remember the last time I had break out on my face like Mount Everest, I was recommended by an esthetician to try this product.  I thought my skin has already suffered enough from the steroid cream used to treat eczema and the drying acne lotions, what have I got to lose? so I gave it a shot.  After using this mask for only 2 times, I can immediately see the differences in my breakouts. 30% of the blemishes subsided and disappeared after a few days, leaving a light pink mark on my face.  I cannot believe it!  This mask is designed to purify and rebalance the skin, something that I needed so desperately.  It also helps alleviate signs of stress and fatigue, which was what I had written all over my face from the use of medicated creams & lotions.   Ever since I discovered this mask I did not have to use the acne lotions anymore.  The blemishes are under control, and I rarely have new breakouts.  5 flowers for this wonderful mask!

If you have oily skin and you are desperately looking for something to reduce / balance the oil on your face, then look no further because you just found it.  This mask will absorb surface oil, remove impurities, and balance the hydrolipidic film to help regulate the oil produced.  The result?  A smooth, clean and clear complexion!  Follow with the Purifying toner or Toning lotion for Combination / Oily skin to prepare your skin for moisturizer.  

Warning: those with Normal / Combination skin should use this mask with caution; it might be too drying for your face.  Try it on the T-zone area first.

This is a skin saver for those with dry / dehydrated skin.  Many of us, regardless of skin type are at risk of having dehydrated skin in Calgary due to the dry weather.  Especially in Spring, when our skin has been tormented by the –28 degree weather plus wind-chill, we need to replenish the water lost on our face. This Thirst Quenching Hydra Balance Mask is a good helper because it restores the moisture level + refresh the tired, aggravated skin.  Together with regular exfoliation, this mask can help your skin gain back that radiance lost in the brutal winter weather.  Apply to cleansed face and slightly message in, leave on for 10 – 15 minutes then wash off with warm water.

Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion

For those who think I included the wrong item in this page, let me explain why I am reviewing an eye makeup remover in a Mask page.  This eye makeup remover contains rose water and cornflower water that can be used as an eye mask to rejuvenate tired eyes and condition / strengthen lashes.  To use as an eye mask wet 2 cotton pads with this eye makeup remover lotion, place on eyes and lie back for 7 – 10 minutes. Remove and proceed with your regular cleansing routine.

MOISTURE INFUSION Ultra-replenishing mask

For those who has dry / dehydrated skin…Great news!  I discovered this Moisture Infusion Ultra-replenishing mask when all Neostrata products are 20% off at London Drugs last week.  To my surprise, this mask did great wonders for me. I say we all have some form of dehydrated skin living in Alberta, especially during the dry cold winter. Although I try this mask in the middle of summer, it still did wonders for me since my skin is dehydrated due to the use of Proactiv and other strong medicated creams prescribed by my dermatologist.  After trying many different creams that are all too rich for summer use, I land my luck on this mask.   Its key ingredients are Olive Oil and Moisture 24.  Olive oil is recognized for its rich moisture properties.  I follow the instructions to apply this thin textured blue color lotion on my clean washed face and left it on for 15 minutes.  I washed it off with cool water instead of leaving it on as told because I am afraid it might be too rich for my oily/ acne prone skin.  The result is phenomenal.   My skin feels soft, smooth and well hydrated.  All the dry spots that were burning before are 80% gone only after one use.  And here comes the best news: it did not cause any break out.  I would recommend this mask for anyone with dehydrated skin, all skin type.   This mask retails at $24.99 CAD.
