CLARINS Paris |
Name of Product: |
Jewel Powder Compact |
|
|
Rating: I have one word to describe this powder ~ SMOOTH! I think this silky smooth powder is worth its price; the elegant red case is just a bonus. This powder yields a soft, translucent & natural finish; it does not give a flat matte look, but a healthy radiant finish. I worked with many powders that were made from Japan, Europe, US, England and Canada respectively; this is one of the best powders I have tried. I normally just wear a small amount of concealer and this to work. I do need touch up during the middle of the day mainly because I have combination skin, but for a press powder, I think it has a long wear-ability. This is a must have item in my purse. * CLARINS cosmetics have

Loose Powder |

Rating: This loose powder is similar to the product above, only in a different texture. Once again this powder is amazingly smooth and silky, it fluffs on the face effortlessly and it does not yield an overly powder finish nor settle into lines. This is a natural looking translucent powder that is great for setting foundation. * CLARINS cosmetics have

Bronzing Duo |
|
|
Rating: This is a smooth compact powder that has two different colors. You can either mix them together for a natural glow, or use the bottom color for a sun kiss look, or you can only use the top color as your normal powder for touch ups. 3 products in one elegant red case. What I like the most about this product is its natural looking finish. It is often difficult to achieve a natural and healthy glow that looks like you just had a tan on the beach with powders / bronzing foundation. Some bronzing powder can make the face look very orangey while others look too “brown”. The bronzing duo comes in 2 different shades for different skin colors. This one to the right are the lighter shades. Choose between a soft glow or a “fresh natural tan” look. I am granting this product 5 flashy flowers. * CLARINS cosmetics have

Silky Finish Powder
|
|
|
Rating: This product earned its name. It is a very silky smooth loose powder. It comes in three colors; I bough both the translucent & Medium colors because it goes with most fair and medium skin tones. I really like this loose powder; especially when use underneath the eyes to set the cream concealer I used because its texture is very soft & silky and it gives a finish as smooth as a baby’s face. Moreover, it does have a bit of reflective shimmer to it and hence help diminish the appearances of lines underneath the eyes. It is a good product to have in your makeup kit for setting foundation and giving the complexion a soft finish. I find that it is a good price for its quality. *Image courtesy of www.marcelle.com |

Shine Free Oil Control Loose Powder |
|
|
Rating: This powder claims to control
oil and keep shine at bay for hours.
Theoretically, any type of powder can help absorb the oil on face and mattify, but some might clog pores and needs more
frequent touch ups to keep the shine at bay.
This powder does mattifies, but I need to
touch up every so often to keep shine away.
Its texture is average; it can give a powdery look if you pile on too
much because its texture is not ultra-fine.
Well, less is more; use sparingly at first will give you more control
over the coverage desired. I am
granting this powder two flowers for its texture and its ability to control
oil. *Image courtesy of

Dual Powder Foundation |
|
|
Rating: A good powder foundation that
can be used wet or dry. It is oil free but has moisture binding ingredients
in it to prevent dryness when worn (with the use of a moisturizer
underneath). It does not control oil
or mattify too well, usually need touch up during
the day but I normally just leave it.
It does however has good coverage for a power
foundation (identical to Mac studio finish) and the colors for lighter skin
tones are good match, but there isn’t much color selection for dark skin
tones at this time. For more information visit http://www.niko.com/ |

Virtual Face Powder™: |

|
Rating: Long for that dewy / radiant
look seen in the magazines? Then give
this Multi-reflective face powder a try. It comes in a cute package with a
built in mirror and brush. I really
like this powder, I used it to create a sun kissed look on a model once and
it worked great. It is not a bronzer
but it can certainly help brighten up any dull skin. I use this on mature skin women all the
time and it works great to help diminish those fine lines and brighten up the
complexion. It is a must have in my
kit. *Image courtesy of

Rating: This is a reflective pearly
powder in a cute pattern. It is a nice
girly compact powder to have in the purse, but it not come with a brush. I do not care too much for this product
because it doesn’t really do much to the complexion instead of giving it a
not too noticeable shimmery. It is a suitable powder for those who
don’t wear makeup but would like to add a tad bit of shimmer to their
face. The problem is the shimmer is so
subtle that unless you pile on layers of this stuff otherwise it is not all
that visible. It does not have any
color except for a tad bit of pink that can hardly act as a brightener for
dull skin. *Image courtesy of

Loose-To-Go™: |

|
Rating: This is a powder for those
with perfect skin but wants a little touch up because it really does nothing
more than that. The only reason why I bought this powder is because of its
cool packaging. It comes with a cute
mini brush and a twistable top. When
you turn the dial on the top it scrapes an even amount of powder off the
whole palette. Then you swipe the mini
brush over the loose powder to mix it all together and brush it onto your
face. As for the powder wise, it
really doesn’t do much other than adding a tad bit of shimmer to your
face. It is more noticeable than the
product above, but not as noticeable as the Virtual Face Powder™: *Image courtesy of
