CLARINS
|
Name of Product: |
Toning Lotion for Combination /
Oily Skin |
|
|
Rating: This is a nice refreshing
toner. It takes off residues of
cleansers to prepare the skin for moisturizer. I particularly like the fact that it has no
alcohol. This is a good refreshing
toner for a girl with combination / oily skin because not only it tones the
skin and prepares it for moisturizer, but also it provides a smoothing effect
and prevents the skin from drying after cleansing. All of Clarins’
products are made from pure plant extracts.

Brand: |
CLARINS Paris |
Name of Product: |
Extra Comfort Toning Lotion |
|
|
Rating: It can be tricky to find a
toner for sensitive skin, actually it is tricky to find a good skincare product
/ cosmetics for people with sensitive skin.
During cleansing, scrubbing can irritate sensitive skin; a gentle
alcohol free toner would be an ideal calming agent. This is a nice gentle toner for people with
sensitive skin. Not only does it
gently lifts residues of cleanser and prepares the skin for moisturizer, but
it calms and smooth irritated skin. It
also helps aid in the absorption of moisturizer. This toner is alcohol free and it leaves
dry or rough skin soft and supple. * Image courtesy of

Brand: |
CLARINS Paris |
Name of Product: |
Purifying toning lotion for oily or
shiny skin |
|
|
Rating: I really like this toning
lotion because it contains ultra-fine silicium powders
in it to absorb excess oil and diminished the shine in the oily areas. It also tightens pores and prepares the
skin for oil-free moisturizers. It is
a great toner for those who are constantly combating with the shiny areas on
their face. Just shake to activate the
English White Clay Powder on the bottom, or use without shaking if you only
wants to use the toner. Be careful not
to use this product around the eyes because the English White Clay Powder is
not suitable for the delicate skin around the eyes. This formula not only mattifies,
but it also contains a plant extract call Sebopur
Complex that kills the bacteria on the face that cause breakouts. * Image courtesy of www.clarins.com |

Brand: |
Clinique |
Name of Product: |
Clarifying lotion 2, 3 |
|
Rating: I started out using Clarifying
lotion 2. I really like this toner at
the beginning. It takes off dead skin
cells and removes traces of cleansers to prepare the skin for moisturizer. But after using it for about two months, my
skin starts to peel from dryness. I
went back and spoke with a beauty consultant at Clinique,
she let me try Clarifying lotion 3, which is for oilier skin (I don’t
understand why she would put me on a toner that is even more drying than the
one I have used before). The result
is, the alcohol in both of these toners is stripping
the moisture off my skin. Although I
really like the clean feeling it leaves my skin, I gave up on this product
and switched to a alcohol free toner. Two flowers deducted from its alcohol
content. **Image courtesy of

Kiehl’s
|
Name of Product: |
Herbal Toner with Mixed Berries and
Extracts |
|
|
Rating: A
nice refreshing toner with actually mix berries inside the bottle. The thing I like about Kiehl’s
is they are fragrance free (most of the products) and the natural ingredients
they use in their products. This toner
does not cause break out or allergic reactions to me,
and it leaves the skin soft and hydrated.
It is alcohol free so that is always a plus for people with sensitive
/ dry skin. **Image courtesy of www.kiehls.com |

Tree Oil is known for its antibacterial properties. This toner is packed with
essential oil (including tea tree oil, of course) and other smoothly
ingredients such as Aloe, Coriander,
Rosemary, Patchouli, Sandalwood and lavender.
It is great for those with oily / breakout prone skin. Alcohol-Free **Image courtesy of www.kiehls.com |

Brand: |
L’Oreal |
Name of Product: |
Dermo-Expertise, Clarify-A Clarifying Toner |
|
|
Rating: This is a toner for all skin
types. It contains a Tri Alpha-Hydroxy Fruit Acids that gently remove lackluster cells
from the surface of the skin. It is
also a hydrating toner that softens the skin.
I don’t think this toner contains alcohol. It is a gentle and smoothing toner but I
don’t know if it really did remove the lackluster cells from the surface of
my skin. I don’t see much of a
difference and I used it mostly in winter when my skin is prone to
irritations. |
