CLARINS |
Name of Product: |
Instant
Perfecting Touch |
|
Rating: This is one of my favorite concealers. It comes in the form of a pen with a twisting dial at the end. To get the product out simply turn the dial clockwise at the end and products will come out at the tip. The products dispense at just the right amount with each turn of the dial and it does not leave a mess (unless you turn the dial too many times and too fast). This pen concealer design is smart because it is easy to use and it allows precise application. The consistency of this product is light and it dries very fast, which allows immediate application of foundation (or you can apply this after the foundation) or powder. It has a sheer - medium coverage. This product contains Photochromic pigments that delivers stay-true colour in any light. It contains light reflecting pigments that will catch and reflect light so fine lines and under eye bags are diminished. If you are trying to conceal anything that is dark in color (ie.: a big zit, freckles, birthmark, age spots..) then there are other options available that has offers more coverage, this instant correcting pen is intended to brighten under eye area and offer subtle highlights to the face if desire. **Image courtesy of

Studio Finish SPF 15 |
|
Rating: I have heard so many good things about this concealer, so I thought I will give it a try. It is a good concealer with buildable coverage. It contains vitamin A & E to moisturize the skin and has SPF 15 to protect skin against UV rays. Over all speaking this is a good concealer with a wide range of colors. The one downside I find with this product is that it does not blend easily. It can become cakey and can settle into the fine lines around the eyes. I would mix it with an eye cream or a moisturizer to make it more blendable / spreadable. **Image courtesy of

Physician’s Formula |

Gentle cover concealer |

Rating: This concealer comes in full size or mini size. It also comes in different colors, including green, yellow and pink. It does a good job in concealing dark under eye circles (the yellow shade) and breakouts. I do find that it is not easy to blend and too much of it will highlight fine lines. Instead of using it right on your skin, what I do is I first draw a few stokes on the palm of my hand, let it warm for 10 seconds then use my finger or use a concealer brush to apply the product. This way it goes on smoother and more blendable. **Image courtesy of
